Our QuickBooks connection.
How North Hudson Bookkeeping connects to your QuickBooks Online company, what it does there, and how to end it.
What this is
North Hudson Bookkeeping Business Ops is the private QuickBooks Online integration North Hudson Bookkeeping LLC uses to keep its clients' books. It isn't sold or offered to the public, and there's nothing for you to install.
Who uses it
Businesses that have signed a bookkeeping engagement with us. After you invite us into your QuickBooks company, we connect your company through Intuit's own sign-in page, where you or we choose the company and approve the connection.
What it does
It reads your company's accounting records to reconcile your accounts, find missing or duplicated entries, and prepare your monthly financial statements.
When your engagement includes bookkeeping entries and you have approved the month's work, it records them in QuickBooks as invoices, payments, deposits, bills, expenses, transfers and journal entries. It can also move a transaction to the right account, remove a duplicate entry once it's approved, and set your books' closing date when a month is closed. It never moves money, pays bills, runs payroll or files taxes.
Your data
Your data stays yours. We use it only for your bookkeeping, never sell it or use it for advertising, and never show it to anyone else. See our privacy policy at /privacy/ and the End-User License Agreement at /intuit/eula/.
Connecting or reconnecting
Once you've invited us into your QuickBooks company, we start the connection and you (or we, as your accountant user) approve it on Intuit's own sign-in page. If the connection ends or its sign-in expires, email or call us and we'll send a new connection request, approved the same way. Connecting or reconnecting doesn't change anything in your books.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect at any time: in QuickBooks, go to Settings, then Apps (or My apps), find this app and choose Disconnect. Or email us and we'll disconnect it and revoke our access with Intuit.
Support
Questions about the connection: email mitt.patel@northhudsonbookkeeping.com or call (443) 600-8990. We answer on business days.
